Building racial equity at CCP:

Advancing our Momentum

Sunday, June 28, 2026 at 12 noon

The Racial Equity Steering Committee invites you to a special meeting on Sunday June 28th, to share our experiences in CCP's Racial Equity Initiative thus far, and to chart our way forward together.

For the past two years, the CCP Racial Equity Initiative has been engaged in a process of learning and introspection about race and racism in psychoanalysis in the service of building a more just and equitable organization. In our first year we convened small reading groups to study the report of the Holmes Commission on Racial Equality in American Psychoanalysis, and we were heartened that many found these groups fostered a deeper sense of community at CCP. This year we launched our racial equity peer groups to encourage ongoing study and discussion among colleagues.

We now invite all of you who have been participating in this project, as well as any interested CCP members who have not yet participated but are interested in learning more, to a summer gathering, in person in our new CCP home as well as online. We look forward to sharing our experiences over the past year and planning our agenda for the year to come.

Please join us by registering here: https://ccpsa.org/event-6680214 to attend either in person or via Zoom.

In person: 1132 S.Wabash, suite 502, Chicago, IL 60605

Sincerely,

Racial Equity Steering Committee:
